About Larry

Hello all! My name is Larry and I created this site. The “Hello CAD & Design World” Home Page Post explains why the site was created (sort of). Who is the author? I am a life long participant and specialist in Drafting (since High School), CAD, & the Engineering Profession (Since 1974). I have been involved in the "CAD World" since 1981-1982. I have worked for a living in the Industrial/ Manufacturing sector for accumulatively almost 26 years, Commercial Design for at least a year; EHST for almost 7 years (not counting the 21 years that involved EHS as part of my design work); Civil Design for approx. 3.5 years; Residential Design for at least 2.5 years (not counting side work that I have done for 20 years previous to doing it for a full time profession); 3D Modeling with Inventor for almost 2 years now. On the CAD side of my experience has been the use of AutoCAD since Version 9 for DOS thru Version 10 Generic. In between has been a multitude of versions and packages; Civil, Inventor, Architectural, etc. There has been some use of ProE, Microstation, DraftSight, and training in Solidworks & CATIA V-5. All totaled some 56,682 hours of operation. Of course my entire career has involved Project Management and to have successful management of a project you need a good team. Consequently Team Building & Team Management has gone hand-in-hand with every project. My other specialties or passions in which I volunteer every chance I get are in the Emergency Services: Fire, EMS, Hazmat, Extrication, SAR, Public Safety Training, & CERT. What do I do for fun? Calligraphy (the old free styled Embellished Old English text), how many ways I can throw a Frisbee, and Volunteering for the Emergency Services in the community!
